Cisterra worked closely with town officials, state agencies and local community groups to master plan and entitle a 4 million square foot campus in accordance with land use regulations and community input.
 

Infrastructure on this campus includes 1.5 miles of landscaped roadway, all underground utilities, wastewater treatment facility, potable water supply, fire pump house and integrated fire protection system as well as many off-site improvements including traffic signals, road improvements and sidewalks.
 

The campus incorporates numerous communal spaces that are strategically integrated by covered walkways between each building to encourage employee interactions and communication. Other unique features include data and executive briefing centers which showcase Cisco’s latest technology. The campus also includes a full service cafeteria with 500 seats and a fitness center.
 

As with other Cisco locations, nature was a priority in the planning of this campus which features over 4 miles of trails for walking, jogging, biking and skating. It also includes ten acres of active recreation areas, a multi-purpose athletic field, two basketball courts, a sand volleyball court and four ponds providing wetland and wildlife enhancement as well as storm water retention.

Known as the Boxborough Campus, Cisco's Boston campus features state-of-the-art office, laboratory, briefing and training areas on 350 acres.
